Friday 9th March
St Patrick’s Festival Annual Dinner Dance at The Tudor Hotel, Airdrie, marking the formal opening of a week long Festival of Irish cultural events.


Saturday 10th March
Admire and wonder at the talents of our young stars at the local Schoolkids Soccer Tournament, Espieside Park, Coatbridge. Kick Off 10.00am
Gaelic Football Challenge Match, local side Sands Macswiney’s take on Creggan from County Antrim in the Festival Challenge Cup at Espieside Park, Coatbridge at 10.00am
Festival favourite, 'The Quiet Man' evening with music from ‘The Dubliner’ in the Mayo Suite, St Patrick’s Hall, Coatbridge at 7.30pm. Tickets £4.00.


Monday 12th March

Come along and enjoy “The Craic”. An evening of traditional Irish storytelling, poetry and laughter in Kaldi's Bar, Coatbridge at 8.00pm. Tickets £3.00

Solo Art Exhibition by acclaimed Irish artist Jonathan O'Dea at Coatbridge Public Library, Academy Street. The Exhibition will run between Monday 12th March and Friday 16th March. Free admission


Tuesday 13th March

Marvel at the talents of our young musicians at the Annual Comhaltas Family Ceili in The Mayo Suite, St Patrick’s Hall, Coatbridge from 7.30pm - 11.00 pm. Tickets - Adults £3.00, Concession £1.00(children/OAP etc)


Wednesday 14th March
Acclaimed performer, Little John Nee returns to Scotland this March for the St. Patrick's day festivities in Coatbridge to perform his 'Star of Stage, Screen, and Street Corners' a selection of favourite vignettes from his theatre shows over the past ten years woven into an exciting, comedic and sometimes poignant evening's entertainment.
The show features original songs, stories, and physical comedy from shows such as 'The Derry Boat', 'Country and Irish' and 'Rural Electric' amongst others.

Professor Tom Devine delivers a thought provoking lecture: 'Irish Americans and Irish Scots: Different Lives' in St Patrick’s Hall, Coatbridge at 7.00pm. Admission Free.

'A Curious Journey' - A one hour documentary examining the emotions, thoughts and memories of 9 people involved in the Irish War of Independence. The film will be preceded by a short introduction from Dr Joseph Bradley. St Patrick’s Hall, Coatbridge at 8.30pm. Admission Free.


Thursday 15th March
Second performance of 'Star of Stage Screen and Street Corners' at 7.30pm in St Andrews RC High School, Old Monkland Rd, Coatbridge. Tickets £5.00

Fantastic Comedy Night Featuring Father Ted Star Michael Redmond with guests at the Forge, Whifflet, Show starts at 9pm. Tickets cost £8 and can be purchased from the venue


Friday 16th March

The students of Coatbridge College present a full musical production of the classic film 'Waking Ned' in the College Theatre at 7.30pm. Tickets £4.00 Adults, £2.50 Concession from College Box Office – 01236 428991


Saturday 17th March
The climax to a week long Festival of Events is the St Patrick’s Day Street Festival in Coatbridge Town Centre. Festivities begin at 12noon with music and dance from 2 main stages. There is also a range of street entertainment, including face painting, amusements and children’s entertainment for all ages. Join the thousands of revelers who descend on Coatbridge Town centre for the largest Irish festival in Scotland.

Celebrate St Patrick’s Day with an evening of traditional Irish folk music with Erins Own, who have traveled all the way from Donegal to be with us. St Batholomews Church Hall, Townhead, Coatbridge. 8.00pm. Tickets £7.00

The Festival Shop will be open for business between Wednesday 7th March and Saturday 17th March in Coatbridge Town Centre. The Festival has its own range of branded goods and the shop will stock an extensive variety of souvenirs. The Festival Shop will again be the home of the Genealogy Project.

Opening times 9.30am until 5pm most days. Friday 9th March shop will close at 3pm and on 17th March shop closes at approximately 4pm for the festival finale.
